Our partners

ATRAP believes that meaningful and impactful research is built on collaboration. Our work is made possible through strong partnerships with a diverse range of institutions that share our commitment to advancing scientific understanding of vector-borne diseases and improving health outcomes within affected communities in Uganda and DRC.

Main partners

Our foundational academic partnerships in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) are central to ATRAP's operations. These institutions provide crucial support in research design, implementation, knowledge dissemination, capacity building, among others.

  • Université de Kinshasa (UNIKIN), DRC

As one of the premier research universities in Central Africa, Université de Kinshasa partners with ATRAP in public health, epidemiology, communication and anthropology.

  • Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), Uganda

MUST contributes to ATRAP’s work through expertise in malacology, environmental ecology, community engagement and behaviour change.
